Hey, I'm Frederik 👋
iOS developer, entrepreneur, and eternal learner who turns coffee into code and ideas into apps.
With over 20 years of experience, I've been crafting digital experiences that delight users and solve real problems.
My Journey
Started Young
Discovered programming at 14 with QBASIC. That first "Hello World" sparked a lifelong passion for creating digital magic.
Academic Excellence
Graduated with great distinction in Multimedia & Communication Technology.
Received the "Student of the Year" award.
What I Do
💼 Consulting
As a freelance iOS & macOS consultant, I help companies build robust, user-friendly applications. Currently crafting mobile banking solutions at Belfius, one of Belgium's leading financial institutions.
I've had the privilege to work with amazing clients including Pioneer, Ricoh, Carrier, Bobcat, Nederlandse Spoorwegen, and VRT.
🎨 Indie Apps
When I'm not consulting, I'm building my own apps. From educational tools that help kids learn to creative apps like Mimi (the meme maker), I love creating products that bring joy to users.
Each app is a labor of love, combining thoughtful design with powerful functionality to solve real problems.
👨🏫 Teaching
For 10 years (2008-2018), I shared my knowledge as a lecturer at Howest University, teaching programming courses and inspiring the next generation of developers.
I still love sharing knowledge through blog posts, open-source contributions, and mentoring fellow developers.
🌟 Open Source
Contributing to the developer community with libraries like VatNumberKit for VAT validation and CountryKit for comprehensive country data.
I believe in giving back to the community that has given me so much throughout my career.
You can check out all my open-source contributions on Github.
Trusted by Amazing Companies
I've had the privilege to work with industry leaders across different sectors, helping them build innovative digital solutions.
From startups to Fortune 500 companies, I help organizations bring their digital visions to life.
